We are Daniel & Andrea Gullion!
We feel that in order to truly get to know us, you first
have to know the story of Eventide Manor.
EVENTIDE’S STORY
Since I was a little girl, I dreamed of living in an antebellum mansion—just like Scarlett O’Hara. From the very first moment I began to read Gone With the Wind and imagine myself there, I fell in love with the beauty, elegance, charm, and romanticism of Southern homes and their architecture. It became my life’s goal to somehow own one—but as we all know, life sometimes gets in the way. Fast forward a few years to when I met the man of my dreams and began working to build a life and a family. We
bought some land up on Eva Mountain and built a beautiful home, but deep down we knew it was not our forever home. Although, we loved the area and never wanted to leave, I still had dreams of my antebellum home. And so, the plans for Eventide were born! After years of planning, we undertook the grueling process of constructing (with the help of many wonderful people) our own design and version of an antebellum home.

We love it so much and we are finally HOME! We actually never intended for it to second as a wedding venue, but when some of our closest friends asked if their daughter could get married at Eventide, it sparked something inside us. We finally knew the purpose behind all of it…God wanted us to share it with others and spread joy, beauty, beginnings and SUNSETS! Daniel actually chose the name “Eventide” for our home before we started building because every antebellum home must have a suitable name, of course. I immediately loved it! It means “at sunset” and boy should you see our sunsets…in fact, the whole house was built around them!
